The paper High performance computing to support land, climate, and user-oriented services: The HIGHLANDER Data Portal was recently published on Meteorological Applications, a Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society whose aim is to serve the needs of applied meteorologists, forecasters, and users of meteorological services by publishing papers on all aspects of meteorological science.
The paper presents the HIGHLANDER Data Portal architecture, features, data products, and applications which were the major outcomes of the HIGHLANDER project.
